Arnprior Regional Health is a multi-site healthcare organization which provides care across the continuum of acute, long term care and community based services.  We are located less than 30 minutes northwest of Ottawa.  With an annual operating budget exceeding $27 million, the corporation has over 300 staff represented by 4 unions and a non-union group, 150 volunteers, and a growing number of medical staff.  Noted for being a progressive and innovative organization, our multi-site organization has been awarded and recognized for our efforts to improve our workplace in ways that contribute to quality of work-life and the quality of the care and services we deliver to our patients, residents and clients.

Arnprior Regional Health is currently seeking a Full Time Vice President, People & Community Programs. This position reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer and currently has operational and strategic responsibility for the corporation’s human resources functions to include Labour/Employee Relations, Recruitment, Payroll/Benefits and Occupational Health Services/Health & Safety. In addition, this position will oversee community programs such as Adult Day Program, Assisted Living, Seniors Active Living Centre and Meals on Wheels. The portfolio as described herein may be altered to commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the preferred candidate. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the position will support the implementation of the corporation’s strategic plan, and various evidenced based leadership practices enhancing employee engagement and improving patient, resident and client satisfaction. 

As the ideal candidate, you have progressive management and leadership experience in Human Resources, coupled with a solid understanding of the rural acute health services, long-term care and community programs/ services.  You are a collaborative leader with an impressive track record for building consensus among many stakeholders such as, employees, unions, residents, clients, patients, governments and the community at large.

Qualifications for this position include a Master's degree in a relevant field of study including or supplemented by recognized courses in industrial relations, human resource management, public or health administration and a minimum of six years of relevant management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  An HR Designation would be considered an asset (CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE).
