Sean Gehring: 2014 Scholarship Recipient
The Canadian College of Health Leaders, Aramark Healthcare and Emerging Health Leaders are pleased to jointly release a special report by Sean Gehring that examines the ways in which private sector strategies are applied within Italy's universal healthcare system. Download the report and learn how Italy stacks up next to Canada and other European Union nations.
Sean's report highlights opportunities for Canadian health leaders to learn from Italy and examines how a country that operates a very similar health system to our own spends less and ranks higher in efficiency. In addition, the report outlines Italy's innovative technologies that are having significant impact on the patient journey and the bottom line.
Sean Gehring is the Manager of Specialized and Neuromuscular Care Streams and the Manager of International Business Development with The Ottawa Hospital. Sean is the recipient of the 2014 Emerging Health Leader Scholarship , sponsored by Aramark Healthcare and was invited to participate on the Italy Study Tour, which was held from September 14 -20, 2014.
The study tour brought together a small group of Canadian healthcare leaders to explore current developments in health services policy and organization in the Italian health systems. The tour provided a rich forum for the exchange of information, ideas and experiences between the Canadians and their Italian counterparts.
You can hear more about Sean's experiences in Italy when he presents at the upcoming webinar on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 . For more details about this event, please click here.
