David N. T. Thompson, CHE
British Columbia Director, 2012-2015

David Thompson is Vice President – Seniors Care & Clinical Support Services in Providence Health Care. In this role, he is responsible for the Elder Care Program (residential services, rehabilitation services, geriatric acute medicine and mental health and assisted living services), PHC’s Seniors Strategy, PHC’s Chronic Disease Management Strategy, Hospice & Palliative Care Services, Lower Mainland Consolidated (LMC) Biomedical Engineering Services, PHC Liaison for LMC Laboratory Services, Diagnostic Imaging and Pharmacy Services.

He is also the Senior Leadership Team Liaison for the Tapestry Foundation, St. Michael’s Centre and Little Mountain Society. David has been a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders since 2004 and has served Chair of the BC Lower Mainland Chapter Executive Council for CCHL. He is a Certified Health Executive (CHE). He is also a Surveyor with Accreditation Canada. David has  completed his Executive Training in Research Application (EXTRA) Fellowship through the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation.  David has served on many provincial committees and task forces throughout his career in Seniors Care, Residential Services, Information Management and Quality & Utilization Improvement.
