This webcast highlights the issue of leadership during challenging times. Speakers offer their perspective on how their organizations handled a crisis and will offer insight as to what constitutes exemplary leadership during a crisis. Learn more about strategies and tactics used by seasoned leaders to address challenges they faced.


LCol Scott A. McLeod is a Medical Officer with the Canadian Forces. He recently returned from Afghanistan where he was the commanding officer for all medical personnel supporting operations in Afghanistan as well as the Role 3 Multinational Hospital on the Kandahar Air Field (KAF). LCol McLeod will share his experiences from working in a war zone halfway around the world.

Jim Irving is Director of Government Relations & Strategic Affairs at Johnson and Johnson. He will speak about the exemplary way in which the Tylenol crisis was handled by Johnson and Johnson, and strategies used by the company to re-build their brand image in the years that followed.

Dr. Bert Lauwers is a Coroner with the Province of Ontario. Dr. Lauwers has been tasked by the Chief Coroner to lead and plan the office's response to the Goudge Inquiry, focused on conducting a systemic review and an assessment of the policies, procedures, practices, accountability and oversight mechanisms, quality control measures and institutional arrangements of Pediatric Forensic Pathology in Ontario from 1981 to 2001 as they relate to its practice and use in investigations and criminal proceedings.
